The Voice

So my little brother is pretty into The Voice, X-factor, and American Idol back when it was still relevant. I can't watch them until they pass their audition or my brother recommends them because I get second hand embarrassment for a lot of the people who audition. I just cringe and I get goosebumps and its not the good kind.

Anyways, I really like The Voice because its different from any other singing competition shows where there are a few judges and they vote if you can keep going. They have four judges who sit in a chair and if they want you on their team so they can coach you then they will turn around. If no one turns around then you go home. If more then one judge turns around you can pick one! It's a much easier and funner process. (Is funner even a word idk man) I also really like the show because I have discovered some of my favorite singers.

  • #1 Dia Frampton
I have blogged about her before but she was one of the first people I ever liked on the voice and I will always remember how her covers didn't let you know what song it was until she sang the chorus.
Seriously didn't even know this was by Kanye West.
  • #2 Mackenzie Bourg
Not my absolute favorite artist but I love his style and his voice is pretty sweet. Also +1 for liking Harry Potter and wearing elbow patches and suspenders.
Tbh I like it better when he sings with other people.

  • #3 Melanie Martinez
I love love loveee her! Her voice isn't a powerhouse but it has that dreamy off in another world sound. I love every song she's sang on the Voice and her personality!
Loved her audition! It was such a mellowed out version.
I love both of their voices in this one! Cat sounds like Florence and the Machine and she's just being her!
My favorite song done by her! I love the song already but after she covered it, I felt torn between the two.

This is Spinal Tap

First I would like to say that this is a bittersweet post. I loved the class but I hated the blogs and now I am doing my very last one. I will miss waking up in the middle of the night and my first thought being "OH SHIT MY BLOGS!!!!!11"

Anywho on to what we were watching! I think they are hilarious! I laughed at pretty much everything that they said and all the little things that would happen to them. My favorite scene has got to be when the 18 inch Stonehenge replica came floating down. I think I snorted at that point. I also really liked when they were at that reunion/party/dance? thing and the guy was like "play a few slow ones so we can dance" then gilligan cut to them playing 'Sex Farm'.
I'm still laughing.

Dapper Dans

I was totally feeling the Disney magic this week and decided to watch every single clips my dad has of my family at Disneyland. I heard the Dapper Dans a couple of times throughout my dad's videos and I thought it would be perfect to blog about!

They are a barbershop quartet which I totally have a soft spot for. They make me swooon. I remember last summer when I was in Disneyland with Kinzy, we set like fifty alarms and try to go find them and we couldn't find them until the last day we were there. DEDICATION. On the last day we finally got a picture with all the Dappers Dans! Which is super exciting and I would put a picture here but I lost my camera there so fml. I also had footage of them but ):

I love everything about them! Their outfits, their instruments they sometimes have and especially their voices! They blend beautifully and they switched songs every thirty seconds which kept me on my toes! Ahhh I am just in love. I'll let the videos do the talking.

Okay I tried to add the video but I couldn't find the video so I'll just link it here. It's the closest thing to what I had recorded on my camera!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4Iuj4jzz7c

and here's just a video of the DisneyWORLD Dapper Dans singing my absolute favorite Disney song.

Gorillaz

So I heard the cover of it in class and I was like whaaaat is this?  I know this song but I don't know this song? But then I was like awww yeaaah fifth grade memories. Then I decided I would blog about the Gorillaz!

My abso-freaking-lutely favorite song by them is Clint Eastwood. It might be because it brings back good memories from 6th and 7th grade. I just love the beat of it and whenever he sings the chorus I'm like love love lovee! I also like that one part where he whispers "that it's all in your head."

I also like Rhinestone Eyes. It's a very chillaxing song that I listen to a lot when I do my homework. It's very electronic compared to Clint Eastwood but it helps me do my homework and that's fine by me!

I would blog about more songs I like but I always keep things in 3s and I wanted to show you this Gorrillaz mashup with the Killers! It's so legit!
Holy shit this is good right? I found it when I was on tumblr and I feel in love.

The Great Gatsby

I am totally and utterly in love with The Great Gatsby soundtrack. This movie is made so much better with the soundtrack. It made me love characters that I hated in the book and it made the movie more up to date and modern.

I'm starting with my favorite song from the album. Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Rey! This song played several times throughout the movie and every time it played I cried. The song fits so perfectly with the relationship between Jay and Daisy. The first time it played was when Daisy was reading the letters from Jay on the day of her wedding to Tom. All the scenes where they played this song fit so perfectly. You have to watch the movie to understand.

Also this played when Daisy and Gatsby reunited and had a blast the entire day they were at the mansion and everyone was happy and smiling and you know it wouldn't last but you hope it would anyways. Well that made me cry as well. (Basically I cried throughout the movie lol)

Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will
I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?

When they played the reprise version of this at the end and the irony that went along with it made me bawl my eyes out. Gatsby loves Daisy and thinks she will love him back through everything but in the end she takes the easy way out and doesn't even pay a visit to Gatsby's funeral.

 I've seen the world
Done it all
Had my cake now
Diamonds, brilliant
In Bel Air now
Hot summer nights, mid July
When you and I were forever wild
The crazy days, city lights
The way you'd play with me like a child

The part I like to pretend Daisy sang after Gatsby's death while she went on vacay.

There was also a lot of rap music in the movie that people hated but I found a really good post on why it was a good choice. Someone on tumblr said that if they did indeed use jazz music or any other music of the time it would feel normal or old because we've heard it all before but if we use the newest music and rap right now it would be like jazz back in their day. It's cutting edge and hip to us which is what jazz was to them at the time.

ALSO LEO AS JAY GATSBY A++++++++

Massive Attack

I really liked every song we listened to by Massive Attack. I especially liked listening to Massive Attack in the dark with the visualizer. It was a totally chill class. At one point this old guy walked in and I think he was like what is this trippy shit.

                                                           wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Any who the song that stuck out to me the most was Inertia Attack. I can't exactly explain it, but it was the only song that I shazamed. ( I actually made PJ do it but shhh) I don't know how to really describe a song like that but all I can say is that it was gooooooood.

I also liked Teardrop and everyone said it was the House theme song but I've never watched House before so I think I heard it from a trailer or an ad or something.

HELLOOOOO

oh my jebus that song by Lionel Richie has got to be one of the funnest things I have ever seen! Never have I cracked up so much at anything! I love how creepy he is with the blind girl. He follows her everywhere and calls her at night with one line before hanging up. "HELLOOO IS IT ME YOUR LOOKING FOR" Also I love how shes blind but she sculpted his face perfectly.(PLOT TWIST SHES NOT REALLY BLIND AND SHE SEES HIM CREEPING ON HER) If I was at ACL this year I would rage so hard at his stage. (lol because im actually serious)
I hope when he's at ACL he comes out of the stage ceiling and starts dancing on it. That would be the perfect entrance.

Toby Turner

Okay so the guy I will be blogging about today does vlogs, let's plays and songs. I will be talking about the songs.(duh?)

So I discovered this guy in 8th grade. He wasn't as popular back then but his literal trailers would always make Youtube's front page. So one day I saw 'Literal Trailer: Harry Potter'. I thought it was soooo clever. I rewatched it over and over until I was sick of it.(I was an intense Harry Potter fan back then) I totally subscribed. Then a while later I saw the Literal Trailer for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. HOLY MACKEREL. It was the best thing my 8th grade mind has ever see. I then started to watch his other stuff after that video.
Toby actually has a pretty awesome voice that you don't really get to experience unless you listen to his Dramatic Song or vlogs. I mean you can tell he has a good voice but it's more of a talk-sing in his literal trailers.

Epic Rap Battles

What has my life come to that I have to blog about ERB. Rockkkk botttomm. Me and Kinzy would memorize every line to the raps in 8th grade and rap it at random times and use the lines in everyday conversations. Anyways ERB is just these two guys who dress up like characters and rap. It's not like really shitty dress up and really shitty lines. They go all out and they are actually pretty clever. My three favorite raps of all time are 'John Lennon vs Bill O' Riley' , 'Justin Bieber vs Beethoven' and last but not least 'Gandalf vs Dumbledore.'

I'll write about Gandalf and Dumbledore first. How do I even begin? I like both Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter but I have to admit that Gandalf won. I don't really like their costumes in this one but their lyrics are THE BEST. I would put a video here but I can't from my phone so you're just going to have to imagine it. (or I'll just put it in when I get home lol)

Second is John Lennon vs Bill O Riley. This one made me laugh so hard. The costumes and the lyrics were so accurate. Also when John Lennon started out with HELPPPP, I knew it would be a good one. AND IT IS.

Lonely Island and why my blogs are shit

It's 8:10 and I am currently in Saturday School trying to blog from my phone. So if my two blogs are crap this week I'm sorry in advance. Also I don't remember what we learned on Tuesday and wasnt here on Thursday so my both my blogs will be irrelevant.

This week I will be talking about Lonely Island. I freaking love them and not just for 'Dick in a Box'. Although I love that song too. My favorite songs by them are definitely Natalie's Rap, No Homo, Shy Ronnie 2 and Jack Sparrow. (I have so many more favorites but that would take a while to write about them ALL.)

I like Natalie's rap because it's Natalie Portman rapping! What more can you ask for? I like it that she's usually a classy person and then BAM! She's rapping about taking shits on people's faces and smoking when she was in Yale. Also bonus points for when a Mini Queen Amedila (how do I even spell that idk man) asked for an autograph and she threw away the paper and cracked a bottle over her head.

For No homo, they have some really clever lines that I can't quite remember now. This song speaks to me. I see no homo everywhere and I'm just like ugh. Also I like how it starts out fairly normal and then near the end it's like "no homo but today I came out the closet."

Last one I will write about is Jack Sparrow. Oh this one started out with two puns in the first sentence that I didn't catch until like 50 million times later. "I wrote this big sexy Hooker that I think you guys will Dig." So awesome. I also like all the movie references and Micheal Bolton!

Pandora vs Spotify

Pandora has betrayed me! I remember sticking by it whenever people ask Pandora or Spotify. I liked the radio aspect that allowed you to find new songs and to be honest I didn't really want to learn how to use Spotify. BUT NOW YOU HAVE LIMITED HOURS OF RADIO ON PANDORA WTF AND YOU MUST PAY TO LISTEN TO MORE HOURS. Yeaaaah no. I have deleted it and have now learned the ways of Spotify. I decided to buy the premium and it has changed my life for the freaking better. It has the radio version which I love and now I can listen to whatever I want whenever, thanks to the playlists I've downloaded for when I'm not in a wifi area. I especially love the last part.

I know that you can buy Pandora premium for four dollars a month but all the benefits that come with Spotify make it worth the extra six dollars. With Pandora what I get with the premium is just unlimted skips and no ads. With Spotify what I get is unlimted music, no apps, radio and I can download my music so I can have it on the go! WORTH EVERY PENNY. (Well actually I'm still on the free 30 day trial things but i will most definitely upgrade it once it's up)

Bioshock Infinite

So last weekend I went to my cousin's house and I played my new favorite game of ALLLLLL TIME. BIOSHOCK INFINITE. Holy shit this game had everything I could ever ask for. It's a first person shooter, it has cool weapons, amazing graphics, a great plot and SUPER AWESOME MUSIC. Like I could seriously not ask for anymore. Since that weekend, I have been listening to all of the Bioshock songs on repeat.

So to explain why there are covers of the song, I have to first explain part of the game. This game takes place in 1912. There is this girl named Elizabeth. She has this special power where she can create tears that let you go into alternate universes, the future or the past.

So yes this game takes place in 1912 but a lot the music you hear in the game is ahead of it's time. They're all covers, so you might not even notice at first because they sound so different but when you do it's amazing! The game music is super duper cool as well. It's gorgeous and fits whatever part you're at so perfectly. I don't know how to even begin to describe it if you haven't played the game.

I have so many more favorites, but it would take more then one blog post for it all.
How do I even begin? This song is what sold me. From the moment I got strapped into that chair and started flying and the song started and I saw Columbia, I WAS IN LOVE.

When I was exploring Columbia, I encounter Columbia's Gayest Quartet! It was beautiful. I stayed and watched their whole performance. I actually clapped. I have a soft spot in my heart for Barbershop Quartets (probs because of the Dapper Dans at Disney) and this was just icing on the cake.

I'll end this last post with my absolute favorite part of the game. It's right after I finished the battle in Shantytown. I was exploring around for some more loot when Long (my cousin) was like "You should go to that bar there, trust me." So I did and I heard a old time cover of Tainted Love on the phonograph. BUT THAT'S NOT THE COOL PART. I could pick up a guitar and Elizabeth would sing with me. The song seriously sent chills down my arm.
                                                            Such a cool little moment.

Music in Trailers

Have you ever watched a trailer and your immediate thought is "Fuck the trailer! This song rocks! Better shazam it right now before it's over." Well I think that all the time! Usually I hear songs in the trailers and it has nothing do with freaking thing and doesn't mesh well or the song is better than the actual trailer. But sometimes I stumble across those rare gems of awesomeness where the music and video mesh so perfectly together!

My favorite examples

This is my all time perfectly meshed music and trailer video ever! It's for a Run where you have to basically run 3 miles while trying to avoid the zombies and trying to make it out alive. It's super cool and I was totally going to sign up for it by my mom was like "92 dollars ann?????!!!! fuck off". But anyway, I love how totally epic the song makes the video. The slow motion parts along with the music is so great. And I always thought of the song Radioactive as a post apocalyptic zombie song!

How do I even begin to describe this?! Well for starters its for a video game called Saints Row and this is the third in the series. (DUH) The song makes the trailer! When it first pans past a billboard of Johnny Gat and the music played I was like in awe. It was so good that when I was in California for the Summer and I found this, I called my brother and made him watch it back in Texas. We have both watched it countless times! (It's my fault he's totally obsessed with the game)

Music that helps me do things around the house

I was not in any classes this week! (Well I was in one but only for about 30 minutes) So I have no idea what's going on this week. So I'll just blog about what I listened to this week!
This week my mom said she would be me thirty dollars to clean up my room and bathroom! My bathroom was no biggie but my room looked like someone ransacked it! I said yes of course. (30 dollars? Yes please) When I first started cleaning, I did nottttttttttttttttttt feel like doing anything! But then I put Pandora on and I was like awh yeeeh. This songs pumped me up! I was singing and cleaning and I didn't even notice that the entire room was almost clean until my mom came in and was like *GASP*.

So the songs that I was listening to were
                                                                    Monster by Skillet
"I MUST CONFESS THAT I FEEL LIKE A MONSTERRRRRRR." The song was super awesome to sing aloud to and made me have a mini jam out session!

Nightmare by a7x
Still my favorite Avenge Sevenfold song! I love that it starts off pretty and then BASBGHJSDHDFHDFHDJKFHJKSFHDJKFHDJKFJDHF. I pretty much screamed the entire song much to my parentals dismay. It's also super catchy!

Bounce by System Of A Down
I have the entire System of a Down Toxicity album but this is my favorite song if I'm trying to do something like wake up, do my morning routine or clean.

Date Rape by Sublime
Kinzy showed me this song a really long time ago but I still love it. The song is extremely catchy and easy to sing to! I love how he sings "If it wasn't for date rape, I'd never get laid."

N.W.A

This week we had one of the most interesting classes ever! I loved listening to N.W.A but once you started to put on other stuff, my mind drifted away. I like how explicit their lyrics are. It keeps it funny and interesting. It made me laugh and keep my full attention on them. Every one of their songs have the coolest beats. It makes me want to play in the car at full volume and pretend to be black.

In Gansta Gansta there was one line that made me think of Natalie's Rap on SNL/Lonely Island album. "We want to fuck you Eazy, I want to fuck you too!"
Life ain't nothing but bitches and money.

Next was Dopeman, and you betcha I was listening! Right off the bat, I was like BREAKING BAD VIBEEESSSS. Also I love all the ways the dissed Strawberry! I laughed so hard I actually snorted. (am I pig or girl the world will never know) Now I will quote some of my favorite lines from Dopeman.
  • "There's another girl in the Dopeman's life. Not quite a bitch but far from a wife. She's called The Strawberry and everybody knows. Strawberry! Strawberry! Is the next neighborhood hoe."
  • "Give the bitch a rock and she'll fuck the whole crew"
  • "But don't fuck around, she'll give you gonorrhea. If people ain't hip to the fact, Strawberry is a girl selling pussy for crack."
  •  Yo, Mr. Dopeman, you think your slick Ya sold crack to my sister and now she’s sick But if she happens to die because of your drug I'm puttin’ in your culo, a .38 slug

Snow Patrol

I have found my new favorite song! It's called The Lighting Strike and it's perfect for every occasion! When I'm taking a test/doing homework, jogging, tanning or falling asleep. I was at Jack&The Beanstalk and a trailer for Vikings came up and I was like whooa this is a really good song! So I shazamed and boom! ~Magic~ Since then I have heard this song everywhere I went. Malls, trailers and my brother was listening to it. (I think it's a sign) But anywhoo, I like this song because the instruments are so calming and his voice is beautiful! Perfect song for everything! I'm seriously obsessed with this song and I don't think the obsession is going anywhere soon.

also this music video totally rocks

Skyrim Bards

Another Skyrim post Ann wtf??? Yes I know! But anyways today I'm blogging about mlisteni actual words! So first off, bards are singers that you encounter in Inns and you can request for them to sing songs. Not all bards are the same though. Some suck so bad my ears bleed but some are so good I will take time out of my quests to hear them sing a song or two!  Their songs are like fun ways for you to learn about the history of Skyrim.

Songs will also change depending on if you're an Imperial or a Stormcloack so you will either get 'The Age of Agression' or 'The Age of Opression'. Theres not that big of a difference but I still like The Age Of Agression just for the line " Down with Ulfric! The killer of kings! On the day of your death we will drink and we'll sing!" (Although I might be baised because I'm an Imperial and it was the first song I've evee heard in the game)

Another favorite is 'Dragonborn Comes' but only when Lisena sings it! I've tried listening to other bards sing it and I'm just like noooooooo. There's this one Orc I met that claimed to be a 'bard' and when he tried singing I just left as fast as I could. Im actually buying the Hearthfire DLC so I can have my own personal bard in the house!

Friday, April 5, 2013

To be totally honest, I have forgotten what we listened to this week so Im just going to blog about Camp Rock. (What is my life comming to?) So I was on Netflix and I was like Camp Rock 1 and 2?! Heck yes! I watched them both and I was instantly taken back to 6 grade when I thought this was the bomb diggity. I actually liked some of the songs! I like 'Gotta Find You and This Is Me from the first Camp Rock and Introducing Me from the second. (Totally fell in love with Nick Jonas when he sang Introducing Me in 7th grade lol)

Tots know all the words

Skyrim

So these past couple of weeks I have been getting really into Skyrim. I don't know what's so addicting about it! (It's probably the infinite number of side quests) But the music in it is soooo good! It just fits so perfectly with everything that goes on and it sounds so dramatic and awesome, I love it. Also my favorite is the song they play right after you kill a dragon and you absorb its soul. So cool, makes killing dragons even cooler then it already is.
There is more then one. This isn't the exact one that I had in mind but it's all I could find! It's still super cool though.
This is the song they use in their trailer and the main screen when you go to load your game. So epic. It makes me want to do something cool like flip off a wall. When I play, I have this like gaming chair? that you plug your xbox to and it plays everything from the game through the speakers. It sounds cool without it, but with the chair and the sound intensified it is just so awesome like I can't even describe it. Ugh the music in Skyrim is too cool man

Everything About This Week

I really liked everything we listened to and learned about in class this week. When we first started this week and we were listening to Michael Jackson, I was like awhhhhhhhhhhhh yeaaaaah. I love the Thriller album! My favorite song of all time by Michael Jackson has to be P.Y.T. It's catchy, easy to jam out to, and it holds some of the greatest memories for me. (Yes, I was having a mini jam session in the back of the class)

Then we were listening to a bunch of hip hop and some of them were really funny and some of them made we want to go home and listen to it on repeat. I didn't catch all the names but I liked listening to them. They also made the class go by in a breeze.

Game of Thrones

So I was having a Game of Thrones marathon in preparation for season three and I heard a song in season two that sent some serious shivers down my side. It's a gorgeous song that I heard in a the end credits and had to shazam immediately. It's called The Rains of Castamere. The song is about Tyrion Lannister and how he destroyed House Reyne after they tried to rebel against his house. The main purpose of the song is to remind people not to cross a Lannister.(lol this makes no sense to the people who don't watch it but whateves)

I like it because it's an actual song in the show that the characters are aware of and talk to each other about. It's also played in pieces at major events but it took the cake when they played in the credits after The Battle of Blackwater. Also whoever sang it, I am in love with their voice.

I think the reason I got major shivers was because the entire episode was brutal and intense. It was loud and full of chaos and while the battle was outside, the queen was sitting quietly at the Iron Throne with her son about to drink the poison. Then backup came and the Lannisters prevailed at the end. It was dramatic and suspenseful and that's when the song played calmly and basically saying "Don't fuck with the Lannisters". It gave me shivers.

The Police & Elvis Costello

It's true that the only song I knew by The Police before this class was Every Breath You Take. My parents like The Police but I've never really given them a second thought. I was really surprised at what we listened to in class because it was so different from Every Breath You Take. I especially love Roxanne. I love how it starts out. "ROXXXXANNNEEEEE, you don't put on the red light..." So awesome. I've been listening to it this entire week. It's so easy to jam to.

Okay now on to Elvis Costello. I did not know who he was before class, but I'm so glad we listened to him. He's very chill. My favorite song from the album was 'Watching The Detectives'. It starts out kinda regae and then when he sings I'm just like I'm in loooooveeee. I want to say he sounds a lot like someone I listen to it but I can't remember the name of the band for the life of me.

Also when I was on youtube I saw a lot of people commenting on Roxanne by The Police and Alison by Elvis Costello that they were named after these songs! So people would reply to the comments with "she's a whore" or "but isn't roxanne a prositute?" I thought it was hilarious!

Vampire Weekend (Makeup Blog)

I first discovered Vampire Weekend when I was in eight grade. People got back from ACL and so many people were talking about and wearing their shirts. (Which by the way was sooooo cute. I wish I got one)
So that night I listened to a couple of their songs like Holiday and I Think Ur A Contra and I kinda liked it. I thought Holiday was super catchy and I would catch myself humming it. I Think Ur A Contra was relaxing but a little boring.

Fast forward like a few more months and I'm in Hollister and I hear this super chill song and I'm like whaaaat. It really stuck out to me because usually Hollister has the most headache inducing songs. So I took out my phone and shazamed it and I was really surprised that it was by Vampire Weekend! Then a few seconds later the manager came up to me and asked me "Do you go to school near here? Are you interested in a job? How old are you?" (I was almost fifteen lol) At that exact moment I decided this was going to be my lucky song.

So when I got home I played it non-stop. It was repeat 24/7. I fell asleep to it and I woke up to it. I was seriously obsessed. My parents probably wanted to kill themselves. But yeah, It made me want to try Horchate so badly. (I later had it at a kite festival and almost threw up ugh) I took 3 test during that week and I aced every single one. I was convinced this was my lucky song.

Then my phone got stolen on that Friday. Everything along with my obsession with that song was gone. The only reason I'm blogging about it today is because it was mentioned in class and flashbacks came.

Lana Del Rey

Yet another blog post about Lana! I can't get over her songs though! Even if I ever did want to stop listening to her, I wouldn't be able to escape her. She is E V E R Y W H E R E. Everyone tweets about how perfect she is, they instagram pictures her face with the caption "omfg shes perf" or "why can't i be her?!" and/or I see the little spotify notification on facebook of songs that they're currently listening to her.

I don't know If I already said this but her album Born To Die Paradise Edition is sooooo good. I can't stop listening to her on repeat. I love how she drags out her voice. It makes her very unique from other singers.
My favorites Blue Velvet, Cola, and Serial Killer. I am currently listening to Serial Killer on repeat. Her voice sounds soooo amazing in it.

The Ramones

They were bad and good if that's even possible. I would listen to it if it was playing but I wouldn't necessary go and download it. I couldn't really understand them but they were really, really catchy. I didn't stop humming it until Friday :morning. All their songs kinda sound the same though. Also I had no idea they were American because they sound very British and at times I couldn't understand them at all. The only song that I knew by The Ramones is 'Hey Ho, Let's Go'.

Seventh Grade Music

This week I went back to my seventh grade playlist and I almost died. I listened to the weirdest things. Everything is about death, cannibals, and murder. I liked bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Slipknot and I would buy their shirts from Hot Topic.
wtf was I thinking

Anyways the most repeated song I have from my playlist is a song by Avenged Sevenfold called A Little Piece Of Heaven. It is nine minutes long and super duper creepy! It's about a guy who kills a girl so she can't reject his hand in marriage. He stabs her and then proceeds to do her corpse. The girl comes back as like a zombie thing and stabs him and they both go to hell and get married. Like I said it was weird and I was creepy. The awkward thing is I would sing this aloud.

watch this video if you're not easily creeped out
but if you are then awkwarrrrd

Led Zeppelin

One guy looked like Blake Anderson from Workaholics
I didn't really like what we were watching in class today. It was kinda boring. They sung the entire time and didn't really do anything else. It was also really loud at times and it gave me a really bad headache.

She's Leaving Home

I know I already blogged about the Sgt. Pepper album but I can't help that I have fell in love with this song all over again. I forgot about this song until I was stalking my own facebook and I found this gem. My friend Sean showed me this in 8th grade and I was so hooked. It was sad but I loved the melody. I love how Paul Mcartney sings the words in the background like we gave her most of our lives, homeeeee, byee byee. It really adds to the song. I think it's a cello that is playing but omg it is so beautiful. I can't even begin to say how much I love it. Also I didn't know that this was based on a true story! Idk I'm just in love with this song and it's been on repeat this whole entire week.

Joni Mitchell

When you first showed us this album I was like ehhh... but then once she starting to hit high notes I was like WOOOWZA! Me and Pj were like dang that's legit! There was something about each and every song that I liked. I'm going to blog about my top three moments.

1) River- the jingle bell intro was so nice. I love how she sang "It's coming on Christmas, They're cutting trees. They're putting up reindeer and singing songs of joy and peace." Also when she sang fly and she went up I was like jadkfhdskjfhjsdkfjksdhfjksdhf what the heck that is so good!

2) My Old Man- wow. I love everything about this song. The way she sings it and how easily she goes up and down is amazing. It's my favorite song on the album. In love with the very beginning and the very end.

3) California- It made me miss California so much. I felt like this song spoke to me and Kinzy the most. I see California as my home as well. The way she sings California is gorgeous! I will totally download this for the airport ride to Cali this year.

Thanks for introducing her to me Mr.A!

Let it Be

This is my mom's favorite album. Well actually the only reason it is, is because her favorite song Let it Be is on it. I like the song too but every time I think of it, I get flashbacks to eight grade where Ms. Lanzetta made us sing it and I remember how much we butchered it. Any who the only song I knew before I checked the album out was Let it Be but now I really like the song Get Back. I think I heard it on my uncle's Ipod once but nevertheless I still really like it.

Also I was reading Cracked and I found out that the Beatles were going to use
this album cover. THANK GOD IT NEVER HAPPENED BECAUSE WTF

Boyz N Motion

There were my very first boy band. They're not even real but they are a fictional band in my favorite childhood show 'That's So Raven'. There were three band members. Ricky, Trey and JJJ (the last J is silent).
They had one hit single that every girl still remembers to this very day. If you listen to it now you would be like wtf is this crap but back when I was like 6 this was just too cool. The only reason I remember this is because I was having a That's So Raven marathon.

Remix Manifesto

First off I would just say that Girl Talk is really awesome and I would love to go see them one day! Second of all my opinion of people getting sued for copyrighting songs is that it's ridiculous! Unless they are taking the entire thing and then claiming it as their own it's not really copyrighting. It's like how you can paraphrase things in your essays but you can't plagiarize. That's the best thing I can compare it to! Like if that's the case you would have to sue every single person ever who made a cover of your song!

Pitch Perfect

I really enjoyed this movie! I've watched it 3 times already and can quote it line for line. It's really funny but the main reason I like it is because of it's amazing soundtrack! The movie has the best mashups and every ones voices gets put to the test! My favorite part of the movie is the riff-off. I think the rules are the songs have to fit the category and you have to come in on one of the other teams word. It's really interesting and I wish we played a game like this during choir or something! The result is fantastic!

Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath

I liked listening to them in class today. One of the main reasons I know about Led Zeppelin is because on Pandora on my Queen and Beatles station it always plays. The song that I know off the top of my head is Stairway to Heaven and the Immigrant Song. My mom has this on her ipod which is where I found out about it and I found the Immigrant Song on Pandora! I really liked it so I made a new station for just Led Zeppelin
.My favorite song by them.

The way I found out about Black Sabbath was through Guitar Hero with my brother. He played it 24/7 and it got stuck in my head so from time to time I start humming it. The only song I know is Iron Man and how it goes.

The Beatles

The reason I'm blogging about the Beatles yet again is because I wanted to use this gif
I found it on Imgur at 5 in the morning during winter break and I have been saving it for this special occasion. What more can I say about the Beatles that I haven't already said? I have new favorites and that's about it. I started listening to my Beatles station again and I decided to not skip over anything and I discovered a lot of new songs I've never given the time of day before like "Maybe I'm Amazed" and "Live and Let Die"I know this isn't by the Beatles as a whole but just Paul McCartney but it was in the station and he's a Beatle so there!

Dang how did I ever pass this gem before? Paul McCartney's voice really surprised me in this one!I also really the guitar in this one. Or at least I think it's the guitar. This is just an all around great song for me.

So is Live and Let Die. It makes me want to to stop holding grudges.
